Unknown Insect
Naples, Collier County, Florida, USA
July 23, 2019
Size: 5 mm
This insect was extracted from the stomach contents of a cane toad. In a research project being performed by the Conservancy of SW Florida, the stomach contents of cane toads are being analyzed so we can learn about the biology of the toads. Some of these creatures are partially digested, which makes identification very difficult. I appreciate all the help many of you have provided to help identify these creatures. This one really has me baffled. It has cerci, somewhat like a cockroach, but the head is much different. It sort of looks like a silverfish that has lost the long "tails", but the color is not silver. Can anyone identify the order of this insect? Thanks. After ID, it should definitely be frassed.

Isopod
This appears to have been one of the many species of smaller isopods prior to its ingestion and partial digestion, but good luck figuring out white. :O
