Black Fly - Bibio - male

Black Fly - Bibio - Male
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
April 12, 2008
Size: around 10mm?
Looks like a Laphria robberfly except for the lack of indention between the eyes and the hair seems to be in the wrong place....under the chin instead of on the nose.

A March Fly?

Another near xanthopus
Another that could be Bibio xanthopus (which can have mostly dark legs, contrary to its name).

Another near xanthopus
