Yes
A so-called "oak-apple" (at least, in French language). They develop from a batch of "winter eggs" laid by an agamous female of Cynipidae (Gall Wasps) into the - then still closed - buds.

I was tempted to open
one of these to see what was inside. Couldn't bring myself to do it though. This is the third one I've found in the last week.

If a twig with one of these growing on it, is placed in a tube of food coloring, the dye will flow through the twig and into the internal filaments of the gall.
