leaf-cutter bee - Megachile Ludwig Prairie Preserve, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA August 1, 2019 Size: ~9 mm
I have a very hard time trying to identify dark little leaf-cutter bees like this one, so I am hoping to get some clarity on what some of them might be in my area. If I had to make a guess, I'd call this one Megachile brevis, but I am likely way off the mark here.
