Subgenus Xanthosarus? - Megachile

Subgenus Xanthosarus? - Megachile
Ludwig Prairie Preserve, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
August 10, 2019
Size: ~10 mm
This leaf-cutter bee with the brownish furry thorax and lack of striping on its abdomen has the characteristics of examples I saw in the Subgenus Xanthosarus. I am still trying to get a better handle on leaf-cutter bee ID and am interested in knowing if that is where this bee fits in. I probably didn't get enough photo angles for a species ID though.
