I saved this poor thing from drowning in the pool this afternoon around 4 p.m. We live in an old orange grove in the southeastern part of the Phoenix metro area. So there is plenty of old citrus trees and grass in the surrounding vicinity. Temperature outside about this time is 85 degrees. Just want to know what it is?

Out of my area
Unfortunately I can't tell you much about them other than a general warning: blister beetles can secret chemicals that will burn your skin if mishandled, so be careful when picking them up. Great find and welcome to Bugguide! I hope you'll contribute some more photos!
