On Rudbekia laciniata. Smallish bee. Possibly Panurginae? I have no other angles of this bee. I didn't realize it was in the picture until later.

I'm fairly sure that this is a female
Masked Bee
in the genus
Hylaeus
. So far, there has only been one (sub-) species IDed, from your state. Let's wait for some expert help.

That's what I had originally thought, but some advice from someone well-seasoned in bee ID led me down theh Panurginae path. Eager to see what the conclusion is.
