This photo was taken the following morning (3/8/20) at approximately 6:30 AM. No ants were active outside in the chilly early hours.
For those plant experts with deep knowledge of the southwest: what plant species can you identify here? I assume that most plant matter is that of Creosote bush, Larrea tridentata, but I could be wrong
