Western populations recently split as Interior Least Clubtail (S. sigmastylus).
Range
Appalachians and eastward, also into Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Interior Least is found more to the west (overlapping in Kentucky and Tennessee and continuing west to Missouri and Arkansas).
