Barrel eggs on a dead leaf

Barrel eggs on a dead leaf
Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
October 23, 2010
Pentatomidae?

Leptoglossus occidentalis?
My guess would be Western Conifer Seed Bug based on these photos from iNaturalist.

Thanks
Thanks, Ilona. After your suggestion I looked at all the U.S. photos of Leptoglossus spp. eggs, and your ID looks good to me, a good match. And thanks Ken and J&J.

Leptoglossus fulvicornis
Although Leptoglossus fulvicornis is also possible based on location...

Reminds us of Leptoglossus
but we don't know how many look like this
