I could not find another moth like this one in BugGuide, and have never seen one like it in the garden before today. I would appreciate any info you could share.

This is a species of Exoprosopa, but which one I cannot say. Interesting. Have you any more shots of this fly?

I agree. I believe this should be filed with other Poecilanthrax spp.

This is a type of bee fly. Notice the eyes and the single pair of wings and lack of long antenna
