Shore Fly(?) Striking Midge - Hydrophorus
Junction City, 15 mi. SE, McDowell Creek, Geary County, Kansas, USA

Then he rose up and flew away....(I'm not sure what happened to two of his six legs....) The midges have been back on the creek for at least a week. Now the predators are showing up, including frogs--more numerous every day!
