I usually limit myself to 2 pictures per specimen, but I couldn't resist on this one. The first one shows where I found this little critter: hiding up in a dandelion. Wouldn't come out to have its picture taken until I blew away all the fluff. Next 3 pics show it opening its wings -- the third pic actually shows the venation in the underwings. The last one was just to show mouth parts if that helps at all.

This is a click beetle in the family Elateridae, readily identified by the "shoulder" spines flanking the top of the wing covers. Unfortunately, the vast majority of click beetles cannot be identified even to genus from images alone:-(
