Identification
Head: Dark, heavily speckled with white-gray scales, including projecting palpi.
Antenna: Brown
Thorax: Dark brown, sprinkled with white scales.
Wings: Dark gray to brownish; heavily speckled entirely with whitish-gray. Somewhat reticulate (net-like), especially along outer edge. Fringe pale gray. Hindwings gray, darker along edges. Fringe gray-white.
Legs: Tan with gray pile. Feet striped with dark brown.
Abdomen: Whitish-gray, mottled with black.
Range
Ontario, Manitoba & Saskatchewan
Holotype (♀): Manitoba. In the American Museum of Natural History, New York, N. Y.
Lectotypes (2 ♀) in the United States National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian, Washington, D.C. No photos.
Season
Possibly two generations April to June (Manitoba & Sask); Sept in Ontario.
