John, Unfortunately, this butterfly doesn't fly in North Carolina. These are beautiful photos. Wish I could see one myself and photogaph it. I may use your pictures to draw a picture of this butterfly. Its colors are spectacular and inspirational. Thanks for sharing.

Arizona Sister
I just started photographing butterflies last year. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful butterflies I have seen in this country. This is the first picture I have ever seen of this one. Thanks for sharing. If I come to Arizona, I will be looking for this one.
