Eusarca confusaria

Eusarca confusaria
Pine Brook, Isanti County, Minnesota, USA
Eggs were obtained from a female captured at lights on July 12, 2006. Two were found hatched on July 16 and were supplied with goldenrod. The eggs apparently hatched over an extended period (though my notes are not explicit on this). Goldenrod did not appear especially favored as a host (at any rate, they seemed to grow slowly). The first photo was taken on August 10 at about 25 mm (instar unknown).
