You are easily forgiven for the ID mistake. This is a ring-legged earwing, with very pale annulations on the femora. Size of the specimen may also have been slightly exaggerated.

Yeah... it's definitely not a maritime. I posted photos of ones from Appledore Island off the coast of Maine & New Hampshire & those things were HUGE!
