Size: 2 mm
July 7, 2017: collected galls on Mountain Mint, Pycnanthemum virginianum, in a prairie remnant. Shipped most of the galls to Dr. R. Gagné who replied: "the larvae appear to be a Lasioptera ... and similar to a species we have here that forms a gall on twiglets of Pycnanthemum.

October 6, 2017: gall was covered in fungus so opened it to fly larvae, most dead
