Weevil - Phyllobius oblongus

Weevil - Phyllobius oblongus
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
May 21, 2005
Size: 6mm
It's shaped like the Diaprepes Root Weevil in the guide, but the color isn't close. Could this be another species in that family?

European Snout Beetle maybe
I'm finding these in several places again this year; last year they disappeared after the end of May. See links to Phyllobius oblongus here.

Snout beetle
The second link under your pictures looks just like our beetles. This is the only one I've found so far, but the weather hasn't been very good.
