Ceiling spider - Pholcus phalangioides

Ceiling spider - Pholcus phalangioides
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, USA
April 14, 2020
Size: 3/8”
We have these in corners of the house, either ceiling or under cabinet toe spaces. We like them because they catch, elevate and kill cave scorpions (we live on a karst limestone bluff above a river). Usually they’re hanging upside down in a messy web and stay in the same location. They resemble half-open fabric-less umbrellas in this pose.

ID?
Is it possible to ID this spider? Another ID site thought it looked like a longbodied cellar spider, but said BugGuide didn’t have any reported sightings in Texas. I added different photos. Thank you.

We do now.
:)
