Bee Fly - Chandler, Arizona - Heterostylum

Found this Bee Fly hovering around a bunch of Lantana flowers. I have never seen one of these before so found it very interesting and took some photos. After doing some research to find out what it was, I found that even though it looked, sounded and acted like a cross between a Hummingbird and a Bumble Bee, it was actually a fly.

This is Heterostylum, identifiable by the indented hind margin of the eye.

Bee Fly Images

Thanks for the feedback.

I am attaching a few more picture links to the forum (If I can figure out how). It was difficult to freeze the wings even at 1/1000 sec. sometimes I got it partially frozen so some veining was able to be detected.
