Size: 1 millimeter?
Hoping there might be enough to ID the two small dark and light banded insects above the lily pad planthopper – Megamelus davisi. These were on a lily pad in a pond surrounded by deciduous forest and a meadow.

Thanks for the suggestion Steve. I'm still not sure which end of the insects in my photo is the head, so I know this is a longshot, but was hoping the habitat would narrow things down sufficiently.

Thanks, but I have already submitted the davisi sighting for this location to bugguide with other photos. I'm hoping for an ID of the two smaller insects just above the davisi in the center of the photo.
