Dyschirius sphaericollis? - Dyschirius sphaericollis

Dyschirius sphaericollis? - Dyschirius sphaericollis
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
April 27, 2020
Size: 5.1mm
This one was much larger than the other Dyschirius I've seen here. Found under driftwood on sand, about 8 feet from Lake Ontario.

Moved
Moved from Dyschirius.

Dyschirius sphaericollis
is my physical determination. Thank you Owen for this specimen. Yes, this northeastern species is relatively large with wide oval-shaped elytra among other distinctions.

Excellent!
Thank you! The first of this species on Bugguide.

Did you create the new species page
or was it already there as a blank? I didn't know BugGuide "contributors" had the capability to create taxonomic pages. Now I know differently perhaps.

The latter -
There was already a blank page with no photos so I just moved my image in. :)
