Identification

one distinct spine at the base of the vesica.
Range
British Columbia, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, occurring in late summer and early fall. McDunnough, 1949
Season
Adults from late July to early September. Larvae from early May to late July (Prentice 1963). Eggs probably overwinter like those of E. interruptofasciata. Bolte, 1990.
Food
usually found on Juniperus scopulorum Sarg. and Juniperus communis L. (Prentice 1963; McGuffin 1958; CNC). Bolte, 1990
Remarks
one cannot separate adults of E. niphadophilata from those of E. interruptofasciata by external features.
