Lace Bug 3.7mm to wingtip - Corythucha arcuata

Lace Bug 3.7mm to wingtip - Corythucha arcuata
Tesuque, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
April 28, 2020
Size: ~3.7 to wingtip
Found wandering away from its host plant, but in the vicinity of both alders and oaks. Corythucha arcuata, perhaps?

Thanks
for the placement!

Corythucha arcuata
is correct. The information about potential host plants in the vicinity is very useful. C. arcuata is similar to other Corythucha species, which are difficult to separate from a photograph without host plant information, otherwise requiring specimen measurements. On the other hand, C. pergandei, which feeds on Alnus sp. or alders, is quite different from your image, ruling out that possibility.
Thank you for reaching out. I don't have much time to visit the guide anymore. But I'm happy to help when possible.

Thanks
very much for the ID confirmation and for sharing the knowledge behind the identification.

Thanks
for placing this image. Does Dr. Miller still make rounds?
