Range
C. laqueata occurs from southern United States (Florida and Arizona) to Central America
Food
larvae of C. laqueata feed on Hammock Velvetseed (Guettarda elliptica) and probably related plants in the west where that species doesn't occur
Remarks
The type species (strigosa [=laqueata]) was first collected in Central America.
