Greya reticulata - Greya reticulatus

Greya reticulata - Greya reticulatus
Rancho San Antonio County Park, Santa Clara County, California, USA
April 22, 2020
Size: Micro moth
This has been a good year for Greya reticulata in the South Bay Area. Four of iNaturalist's eight observations of this species occurred in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties during an 8-day period in late April 2020. Insect is shown on Pacific Sanicle, Sanicula crassicaulis, which Jerry Powell has identified as a larval host [see https://friendsofalbanyhill.org/lepidoptera-of-albany-hill-powell-langston/]. (I am confident of the ID but wanted Bugguide to have an image for this elegantly patterned lep.)
