I would like to figure out how to distinguish between coquilletti, caudata, and bubulcus. I gather that latter has a mystax, but I am not sure where exactly you see the hairs. This one has sparse hairs just below the antennae, so I am not sure if that is considered a mystax. It certainly doesn't resemble the impressive mystax of robber flies. I would greatly value some assistance!
