No.
It is a stink bug, family Pentatomidae, probably in the genus Podisus. True bugs can be told from beetles in several ways. They have sucking mouthparts for one thing (beetles have chewing mouthparts). The scutellum (triangular area between the bases of the wing covers) is greatly enlarged in many true bugs. The front pair of wings is leathery at the base and membraneous at the apex (beetle wing covers are at least leathery throughout, if not a whole lot stiffer and thicker than that). Beetles usually sport a midline along the back where the wing covers meet. In true bugs, this midline is non-existent, with the result being an x-shaped appearance.

thank you.

You're welcome:-)
Thanks for appreciating my efforts. Hope you will continue posting images here. Many people who started out at bugguide knowing next to nothing (by their own admission) are now quite good at making identifications themselves.
