Patio Bug - Neolygus

Patio Bug - Neolygus
Rancocas Woods, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
May 4, 2008
Size: Maybe around 3 mm?
This little bug was pretty fast. Found running around some patio furniture. I have no real guesses. Maybe possibly Lygocoris? Sort of reminds me of a little version of Lygocoris vitticollis.

The nymph of Lygus species should have five black dots
on its dorsal surface, according to Schwarz et al. Therefore, it and its adult form may not be Lygus.

Miridae.
Miridae may be the closest we'll ever get for an ID, but what a terrific image! Still, I'm leaning toward a nymph of Lygus sp.
