Size: ca. 2 cm
Although my photo is not the greatest and the moth would not open its wings all the way, the closest I can find in Bug Guide and MPG is Marathyssa basalis, followed perhaps by Eutelia. This is the dorsal view

Thank you so much for the ID! I'm keeping an eye out for it (or another specimen) in case it returns to my yard so I can get sharper photos.

Yes, I would agree with Marathyssa basalis. It is a bit tough to distinguish them when their wings are folded, but I feel confident with basalis due to the strong markings in the antemedian area and the pattern of the abdominal scaling.
