Beetle in mousetrap with dead mouse in attic - Dermestes lardarius

Beetle in mousetrap with dead mouse in attic - Dermestes lardarius
Walpole in our attic, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
May 6, 2020
Size: 0.25 inche eyeballed
Looks like photos of Dermestes lardarius. The mouse had been dead for days. The bait had been peanut butter. We always have a couple baited traps in the attic and caught many deer mice over the years but never have seen the beetles before. There were half a dozen in the cardboard box with the trap and dead mouse.
