Bumble bee mimic, Eristalis flavipes? - Mallota bautias

Bumble bee mimic, Eristalis flavipes? - Mallota bautias
Reston, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
May 13, 2020
Size: maybe 10-15mm
observed on forsythia mid afternoon. Looked like a small bumblebee, size about the same as a narcissus fly (Merodon). Is this possibly eristalis flavipes?

Not Eristalis flaivpes, the hind tarsi would need to be orange and they are black. Looks more like Mallota bautias?
