Unusual nymphs

Unusual nymphs
Portsmouth, Tidewater County, Virginia, USA
May 17, 2020
My mother took this photo of unusual nymphs on one of her house posts. We assume that's their egg case to the left. Very unusual sighting for both of us, hopefully the striking nymphs or bizarre egg case makes identification easier.

Leaf-footed Bug nymphs. I suspect Leptoglossus, but you'd probably need to rear them to be certain.

Thanks!
I've identified a couple Leptoglossus species around here, as well as a Piezogaster, and I concur that it's more likely the former. I appreciate the info!
