Myzia pullata on white pine adjacent to lake - Myzia pullata

Myzia pullata on white pine adjacent to lake - Myzia pullata
Timberlea, Halifax County, Nova Scotia, Canada
May 24, 2020
ID'd with help from Bob Shea on Insects of Atlantic Canada (private Facebook group) and cf. https://bugguide.net/node/view/928240 this checks out: "The pronotal markings are a key identification feature for this species, as are the rounded oval shape and slightly explanate elytra." - Abigail M. Parker, 24 May, 2014.

I found this at the boggy end of Cranberry Lake nearest the BLT Trail in Timberlea, NS, on the bottom branch of a large white pine.
