This moth was photographed in the afternoon in a wet meadow.

Moved from Butterflies and Moths. Pretty nice image; please crop next time as I have done here for you.

Spear marked Moth - either Rheumaptera hastata or subhastata
The two species are very similar and can only be told apart by examination of genitalia.
