Identification
This species differs from Clastoptera querci in the following ways: "querci, which has red dots on anterior pronotum, not red bands. Also, bottom half of postclypeus is redish brown in Louisiana bug and unmarked or light in Florida bug. The bulla in querci is surrounded by think white veins not prominent in Louisiana bug. Living Florida bugs have greenish brown pronotum, Louisiana bugs just brown."- V. Thompson
