Psilidae (Rust Fly)? - Loxocera cylindrica

Psilidae (Rust Fly)? - Loxocera cylindrica
Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, USA
May 24, 2005
Found this little one resting. According to other images in the guide, it looks like family Psilidae(1). Possible genus or species identification?

Moved
Moved from Loxocera.

Loxocera cylindrica
This is L. cylindrica, which has a longer pedicel than L. collaris, the only other species of the genus known from NC. L. cylindrica is widespread in the east, and shows much colour variation (this specimen is almost completely red; farther north, brown markings are usually much more extensive on thorax and abdomen).

Loxocera.
Genus is Loxocera, as evidenced by the l-o-o-ng third antennal segment.

Thanks again :)
