Hemerophila Moth - Hemerophila diva Deerfield Beach, Broward County, Florida, USA April 30, 2008
Final instar larva. Larvae spin a tent of silk on the top side of more mature leaves of strangler fig. They scrape the surface of the leaf when feeding and also move down stems to do the same to green fruit. Note the amount of frass in the silk tent.
