black and white butterfly or moth in NH

Last night while watering my garden I saw a very small, perhaps smaller that a spring azure, butterfly or moth flying around. Ran to get a camera but wasn't quick enough. The strange thing was that it was totally black with a distinct white stripe across each wing. I had a vague sense of its being a moth, but am not sure. The only critter I can find that looked similar is Syncopacma larseniella, but I see no instance of this moth in the US. What could it have been?

Take a look at the
White-striped Black - Trichodezia albovittata

and see if that is your find.
If not, please describe how yours was different.
