Beetle larvae (I think) feeding on leaves of a willow tree. - Chrysomela
Baton Rouge - BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
May 13, 2008
Size: about 5/8 inch
Found feeding on leaves of a willow tree along side a pond.

I just posted a photo of an adult beetle of the type that were mating in the same willow branches.
Is it possible to tell if these larvae and the adults are the same species? I will try to give a link to the earlier photo of the adult - here

That was fast, thanks.
Looks like my link did not work.
I'll have to look for eggs next.
