Spider vs. Beetle - Tigrosa

Spider vs. Beetle - Tigrosa
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
May 29, 2020
Perhaps Tigrosa annexa?

Many of these spiders were out and about on this driftwood and everywhere on the beach. The Colorado potato beetle liked walking back and forth in the sunshine on this particular piece of driftwood. The beetle seemed to view any spider in its way as just an annoyance and bulldozed them out of the way. Most but not all of the spiders accepted being moved out of the way. Less tolerant spiders attacked the beetles by jumping on its back. The beetle seemed to simply find this annoying and the spiders would give up.
