Agelenidae? - Dolomedes tenebrosus

Agelenidae? - Dolomedes tenebrosus
Belchertown, Massachusetts, USA

Waiting by a web that seemed like more of a flat platform than a funnel...

Agelenidae? - Dolomedes tenebrosus Agelenidae? - Dolomedes tenebrosus

Moved
Moved from Fishing Spiders.

Appearance is consistent with D. tenebrosus (looks to be a juvenile). And it seems like this species is more frequently found away from water instead of near water.

Pisauridae
Not a funnel web spider. Some type of Nursery Web spider. Looks like Dolomedes, one of the fishing spiders.

Thanks
I wonder if I'm incorrectly associating the web with the spider? I thought pisaurids only build webs for their 'nurseries,' and I didn't see an egg sac anywhere... I've added an image of the web [the image was identified as an unrelated linyphiid web, and has been frassed].

Incidentally, this was in dry woods, but I presume not all Dolomedes species are associated with water.
