Chelostoma philadelphi male? - Chelostoma - male

Chelostoma philadelphi male? - Chelostoma - Male
Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, Iowa, USA
May 31, 2020
Size: 6mm
I found this small black Osmiini male bee on a buttercup plant in my back yard the other day and I suspect it's a Chelostoma philadelphi. I'd like to have some confirmation since there isn't a record in NE Iowa (according to DiscoverLife). It has a more slender body than Hoplitis which I thought it was at first. Thanks.

Hello Ai,
I only have 2 finds of Chelostoma philadelphi but I've only looked twice. I find them on flowers of Mock orange, this summer in a yard in Mt. Vernon, IA.
