I don't recall seeing anything like this before--I have no idea what this is--the mine may be empty, but there is a possible puparium inserted in the peninsula of tissue between the two holes??

That's the eggshell. Another new host for this beetle! (I've reared it from B. lenta.)

Baliosus did cross my mind, but I guess these are just small mines (aborted/eaten by predators), and the holes near the start of the mine threw me off--Cool! Thanks again for the ID!
