Cerathosia tricolor #9064 - Cerathosia tricolor FM306 at FM215, Comal County, Texas, USA May 11, 2008 Size: 31mm wingspan
Found dead and covered with ants at rural store, so no live image was possible. It seems to be a one species genus in Noctuidae, but I have no idea what subfamily it belongs in. The only representative photo I could find was Vargo's at MPG. Both abdomen and hind wings have discolored; they were a fairly bright light yellow. Holland cites without plate photo reference and lists range as simply, Texas.
