Slender Clearwing Moth - Hemaris gracilis - Hemaris gracilis
Stanton Creek Road in the Black River Forest near Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wisconsin, USA

I believe this is a Slender Clearwing Moth (Hemaris gracilis). I am basing that on the red leg that is visible just below the left wing. This moth landed on a plant close to the ground and was photographed while at rest. It was at rest less than a minute before it flew away.
