Silver City, Grant County, New Mexico, USA

Size: 1/2 inch max as I recall
Found this in our bathtub. First thought it was an ant carrying something U-shaped. About the size of a red ant or slightly larger. Thought maybe it was a very small scorpion but no tail and no pincers that I can identify. No idea what it is. Do you.

Welcome to BugGuide!

Solifugae
I've never seen one alive myself, but this should be a "sun scorpion" or "camel spider" (Order Solifugae).
