Wheel Bug nymph? Bold coloring of red and black? - Arilus cristatus
Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA
June 9, 2020
Walking on Winterberry Holly blossoms in my backyard. First thought it might be a spider with those long legs, but don't see 8. Having a hard time grouping this specimen.

Thanks for the quick response
I have seen adult wheel bugs before, but never a nymph. I will have to look at the adults and see if they lose this striking coloration.
Thanks.

more info
I found 3 more nymphs in the same bush today...plus found a photo of a pair of adults wheel bugs mating in my garden last September. Wonder if they are the parents! Hope they eat my Japanese beetles!
