Size: body length ~12mm
Location, SW WA on the edge of Willapa Bay .. at sea level.
They look ant like and perhaps came out of the structures of my wooden buildings... I had an estimated 500 in my moth light trap overnight on an exceptionally warm (record breaking high temps) running 70-85 F during the night time hours. I don't recall seeing this 'bug' on other nights.

These are male Carpenter Ants (Camponotus sp.).
